As a part of my Google UX Design Professional Certification Program, I designed a mobile app for the non profit Protect Our Winters.

The Goal:

To create a mobile app to deliver the user with up to date Info from POW, as well as a place to donate and use shareable links to spread awareness.

Role:

UX-UI Development of the product.

Responsibilities:

Creating the app from start to finish. Starting from ideations, user research, wireframing, prototyping to finished product.

Branding:

For branding, I wanted to create a color palete that gave the app a cool winter feel. Paired with the added highlights of the orange to create nice contrast. To maintain the professionalism of the NGO, I incorporated typography to give a professional feel.

Preliminary Research, Wire framing and User Journey Maps:

In conducting research for the app, I started with identifying problems, user pain points and ideating solutions. Next I started creating personas of likely candidates for the app. From there, I did various forms of user research such as user journey maps, competitive audits, as well as usability studies.

This paper wireframe was used to start ideating on the best user flow and create pages that would best assist the user in completing the task and addressing their pain points. The following prototype was created to give cohesive, yet engaging transitions between the pages.
